Okay so Nexus One is not available for purchase in stores and you gotta order from www.google.com/phone okay that I really don’t have a problem with. What I do have a problem with is the fact that I have called several T-Mobile store and none even have a demo unit to play around with in store and won’t be getting one… So I ask so how we suppose to know if we like it or not… his response read reviews and then buy it if dont like it return it… okay well you know what

Reviews
———-
everyones opinions are different so in my opinion reviews are not worth shit……

Buy it / Return it
—————-
Ya but then also get charged a restocking fee + return shipping costs….

Okay well the RC33 Update is now available for the G1? but what about us Dev 1 Phone users where is our Update… To me all us Developers make the Apps for the phone so shouldn’t we actually get the update a week or so before everyone else that way we can make sure our programs work with the update and if not be able to fix them….

Sprint’s customers service may have tanked, they just completed one of the more dysfunctional acquisitions in telecom history (Nextel), and the company’s new CEO is attempting to keep the Sprint brand from imploding under the weight of a tough economy and defecting customers. Still, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse was recently quoted as saying that Google’s new Android OS “is not good enough to put the Sprint brand on it.” Hesse is promising to sell a phone powered by Android “at some time in the future,” but so far the carrier hasn’t been more specific. Perhaps they’ll get around to it after they finally implement their promised pro-rated ETFs.

I think they actually just got the article backwards I think Sprint isn’t good enough for the Google Brand.

Just days after the T-Mobile/HTC G1 smart phone went on the market, a group of security researchers have found what they call a serious flaw in the Android operating system from Google, according to the New York Times. Co-discovered by a former National Security Agency computer security specialist, the flaw can be exploited by an attacker who might trick a G1 user into visiting a booby-trapped Web site. Google appears annoyed that the researcher didn’t contact them before publication, say they’re already working on it, and suggest that the security features of the phone will limit potential damage. From the Times:

“The risk in the Google design, according to Mr. Miller, who is a principal security analyst at Independent Security Evaluators in Baltimore, lies in the danger from within the Web browser partition in the phone. It would be possible, for example, for an intruder to install software that would capture keystrokes entered by the user when surfing to other Web sites. That would make it possible to steal identity information or passwords.”

I got the T-Mobile (HTC) Google Android phone also known as the G1 and gotta say I am not impressed not even the little bit..  Had the phone for not even 3 minutes and the thing already frooze on me and had to be rebooted (battery taken out)..   The 3G is about the same as Edge on the iPhone…  Gotta say I will only be using this phone for Development Purposes.
